A solution to prevent 'over-hogging" of CPU in webhosting environments

Finally understood what "overuse of CPU" means!  Excessive CPU usage by one or more clients causes extreme slowness in all areas: FTP, Telnet, Web Sites and more.  If the CPU usage gets too far out of hand, all sites hosted on the machine will return Errors and not be accessible in any way.

A friend told me,"Still, they should have warned you instead of suspending your webhosting account.  Not everyone is a computer-network expert!  It's only right they refund you your webhosting fees."

I said,"Yeah, they did say so - to refund me my annual webhosting fees in 'their next payment cycle'.since the wordpress themes I uploaded are worth way more than my webhosting fees, not to mention I was not allowed to retrieve a backup of my blog entries and comments.  I lost more than I will ever get back but at least the refund softens the damage somewhat."

Lesson learnt and I am sure my experience will save some from hosting headaches!

Never hog your wordpress admin control panel for more than 20 minutes per day if you can help it - only use your FTP to upload/delete/rename files!

You can do this by testing wordpress and php scripts by making your computer a server.  How?  Download the WAMP server which includes MySql and PhpMyAdmin.  Google for the latest version!
